Do embedded nails in my ceiling create /cause a problem?

To answer this properly, you would have to give more information. What kind of ceiling is it? How long are the nails? If you have drywall on the ceiling and you are talking about the nails holding it up then no they are not a problem. The reason the heads are embedded, is because of the drywall mud that covers them. If you are asking this question because of nail heads popping and becoming visible then a simple repair of drywall screws on both sides of the nail in the joist will do the trick. Cover with new mud, sand and paint.Do embedded nails in my ceiling create /cause a problem?
