Fingernail Problem that was caused by a nail filer?

I have a fingernail bitting problem and there is always a piece of skin left on the top layer of the nail when I peel it. But I usually use a nail filer to pick the excessive skin and then the fingernail clipper. But then I wasnt paying attention and the nail filer went into my fingernail and left this black mark. Please anyone what could this possibly be. Could it be a blood clot in my fingernail or just a piece of trash stuck in my nail. And if it is a bloot clot in my fingernail, what is the possible harm it could do to that one finger. Because it itches for awhile when I try to take it out. Please anyone, a nail technition or a doctor specialist or anyone who knows about fingernails.Fingernail Problem that was caused by a nail filer?
