What was Martin Luther's main problem with the RC church when he nailed those papers to the Church door?

I tend to think that he made the point that ';you can be saved only by faith alone';

Am I right?What was Martin Luther's main problem with the RC church when he nailed those papers to the Church door?
it was more to do with indulgences, some cardinals were selling them, but martin also did not believe in purgatory so he rejected the 2 books of maccabees plus the othe 4 which the palestinian jews had put aside , he also wanted to throw out jude, revelation,and james which he called an epistle of straw, and finally he added the word';alone'; to the the phrase .';one is saved by faith.'; he married and when dying , i think he received the last rites of the catholic churchWhat was Martin Luther's main problem with the RC church when he nailed those papers to the Church door?
He didn't like the doctorine that was being practiced by the church at the time. That is why he went on an offensive against the catholic church and was excommunicated and thought as an enemy of the church.
Martin Luther was wrong. he didn't read the whole new testament.. the faith without actions is dead..
